Proper fit of a boot:

You may feel a resistance the first time you put on your boot, especially if you have a high arch. Push, push push! If the boot fits everywhere else but is snug across the top of the arch, it will break in as these are top quality leather boots and will stretch to fit your foot.
3 points to look for when putting your boots on for the first time:
A. They should fit a little snug across the bridge of your foot.. like a glove holding your hand. The heat of your foot will warm the leather up and it will form to your foot size.
B. The boot should not be too short in the toe area. Your toes are not strong enough to stretch your boot longer.
C Heel slippage… you will feel a little slippage in the heel the first few times you wear your boots — this is normal. There is a steel shank in the arch of the boot that will bend to fit your arch. About the 3rd time you wear your boot you will not notice the slippage.
